To test this 24-cup mini-muffin pan, I baked a batch of Krusteaz Oat Bran Muffin Mix, 14-Ounce, following the box instructions for a 20-muffin pan. Per the Dr. Oekter pan instructions, I lightly greased the muffin cups before filling them with muffin mix. After 12 minutes (maximum time), the muffins came out perfectly. All 24 muffins were a light golden brown and were evenly baked throughout, and they lifted easily out of the muffin cups.

Cleanup was simple, because the nonstick surface came completely clean with a light soap and water rinse. Importantly, the label does NOT promise that the muffin pan is dishwasher safe (probably because dishwasher detergents can damage some nonstick surfaces). I think everything I own is "non-stick" and yet still has to be liberally dosed with oil, butter, or flour to keep things from falling apart. So I was pretty skeptical that this mini muffin pan would be any better than the rest. I baked up a batch of fruit-bit muffins, and sprayed one side down with non-stick spray and left the other side completely alone, figuring I'd ruin half the batch and note it in my review.

Not so, as it turns out to my surprise! The muffins came out of the pan equally easily, regardless of whether they were on the side I'd sprayed or the side I left alone. Indeed, the muffins I left alone looked prettier -- they had smoother bottoms since there wasn't a non-stick grease bubbling underneath them in the muffin tin.

I'm very impressed with this pan, and it's so nice to get something "non-stick" that actually lives up to the name.

The photo is wrong, as the previous poster said. The muffin tins are arranged in the traditional rows and not circles. I made a batch of Pilsbury Orange and Cranberry Muffin mix. (They are a little dry, possibly over shot baking them by a minute or two).

Since they are mini muffins (each one is probably an inch high) you have to keep an eye on them in the oven. First batch I put a tooth pick in after about twelve minutes and the whole muffin came out of the tin.

Because this tin is so completely non-stick I would recommend when dumping the muffins out to not do it towards the edge of the table, I had several bounce onto the floor.

I sprayed the tin with Baker's Joy for each batch of muffins and had no problem. I made mini cupcakes a few days ago with a different set of mini-tins and they required more coaxing out of the tin.
